So, here I am at DTD for their record breaking Grand Prix event and the cards are being dealt, follow me on Twitter -

Great to see the wizards behind DTD are still making Harry Potter look like Paul Daniels as they crush the record for the UK’s biggest poker tournament by selling all the seats to their Grand Prix event 8 days before the first cards are dealt.

The EPT has had the record for the past two years with 730 players last year & 848 in 2010 but now that record is set at 900 players which is the player cap of this event.

There is potential of increasing the number of starting days and therefore setting the bar incredibly higher in a similar event next year, and knowing the guys behind DTD I truly believe this to be possible.

Now this is my main event !

I love Omaha, it’s such a fantastic game which relies more on skill than Hold’em, however some people think it is more a gambling game.  While preflop no hand is a huge favourite against another, that all changes on the flop and yet too many are still quite happy to flip at the slightest opportunity !

Last year I final tabled and had the best hand going in when I was busted, here I hope to improve by winning !
